Strategic Management Office (SMO) - CEDA
The Strategic Management Office (SMO) was established in November 2017 as the executive arm of the Strategic Management Committee (SMC) under the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA). The SMO coordinates and oversees the delivery of Vision 2030, working with the Vision Realization Programs (VRPs) and across government to ensure the alignment and progress of all programs, regional strategies, sectoral strategies, delivery plans, and initiatives by cascading objectives and driving synergy throughout the ecosystem. The SMO’s responsibilities include unlocking promising sectors, articulating and implementing strategies, and monitoring VRP performance.

It is mandated to promote sustainable, inclusive, and diversified economic growth. Its work includes evaluating the impact of national programs on diversifying the economy, boosting productivity and innovation, and fostering international cooperation.
